I’m sitting in a bar noticing the difference in clarity and volume between the tracks in the bar owner’s choice of (probably Spotify) playlists.
Maybe an unpopular opinion but Spotify isn’t business grade music.
An eighties track is so quiet, then suddenly a trance track from 2010 is next and the contrast is like chalk and cheese.
Did anyone else notice?
Maybe it’s just me but if I have a playlist of music I want it to sit firmly in a sound zone like wallpaper; pleasant and comforting but doesn’t randomly come out and poke you.
Take the professional route and choose a professional music service provider who can normalise ever track to the same level and ensure RMS peak for compression is aligned across tracks.
Service providers have to do this in post production because each artist will have their own opinion.
