I’m pleased to announce Melody Pods is back with a new scheduling feature that learns from the previous design.
Now you can benefit from a pre-configured year of scheduled music from day one; no need to spend time configuring your shedule, its there already with the most popular configuration across 6 groups of schedules.
Here’s the structure:
- Each schedule has up to 8 durations you can set “from” and “to” with a specific playlist, that covers 24 hours of the day.
- Each schedule is then attached to a day or days of the week, so you can have a week day configuration and a weekend configuration and you can also have week day events that appear in the evening each week configured for.
- The schedules are collected into Schedule Lists of which there are 6 in total. In this way you can have seasonal music collection changes. Additionally this covers for festive seasons such as Christmas, Halloween, Easter and more to come.
- Each Schedule List has a priority number so even if you have your usual weekly configuration running, when Easter comes along, that will take priority and take over until Easter finishes and it’ll automatically go back to your usual weekly configuration.
- You can adjust when each schedule list is live on a weekly basis by touch-dragging the week ’tiles’ in the rota view for each schedule list.
- The Schedule View (alarm button on the Home Screen) shows you all this and a link to the rota calendar view. From there you can see what is playing and what to configure.
- The Schedule View is where you make the schedule active or deactivate it so you can go back to using the manual swipe for changing the playlists.
We’ve tried to take into consideration as many customer requirements as possible and have learnt a lot from our previous scheduling system. One key element to this new design is that we have shoehorned the scheduling configuration tool into the mobile app and pre-configured it.
